History of the Building
The church, on the corner of North 13th and Washington Streets, was built back in 1875 when the Evangelical denomination established a work in Olean. The work started in the German language and later changed to solely English. The church had remarkable growth in a building well fitted for the care of all ages in worship. The Evangelical Church of Olean has through the years contributed much to the ministry of missions and has had a number of their young people take up religious work in other fields.

History of the Olean Revival Center
The work of the Olean Revival Center (ORC), started when Rev. Ervin and Doris Miller first came to the Olean area in 1960. They started their ministry here in tent meetings between 1960 and 1964. They went from tent meetings into the old Mayflower Restaurant, on East State Street. The first service as the ORC was on December 6, 1964. On July 30, 1966, a new building was purchased at 146 N. 13th Street. Rev. Ervin Miller was pastor of the ORC until his death on July 16, 1991. After his death, Pastor Doris Miller took his place. She was the pastor for 11 years before turning the position over to Rev. Ron Frazier, who pastored at Faith Temple Church in Titusville, PA for over 20 years.
